Vienna

Vienna..It took us almost 5 hours to reach here at this modern and structured city.

After 2 hours journey from Salzburg, we stopped for lunch. One thing for sure..i prefer the RnR shop in Italy much more better than in Austria. Nothing much for us to eat because of the limited choices of food. I just took a bread and a pumpkin soup.

After that, 2 hours later..we reached Vienna and at 6pm plus..we had our dinner. It was already dark..so, the only best option for us to do next was to go straight to the hotel.

The next morning..i was so excited to see something that i've never experienced before..the falling snow (..punye excited sampai dh nak termasuk bus orang lain wehhh...aduzzz..malu).

After that, we started the journey to the Schönbrunn Palace. At first thought, you might say that 'Biasa jer nampak istana ni..kuning jer color nyer'. But..wait till you go inside the palace..

..before that..some photo-call at the outside park of the palace. And, i was so excited when the snow fell heavily (..uihh..salji turun macam air hujan..Subhanallah. Tak terkata excited dengan keindahan ciptaan Allah).

Another additional information, if you come to europe during winter, you could have some disappointment with the fact that some restoration work could happen and you would not have the opportunity to see some of the famous sculptures during your visit. I did have my share on that matters.

..now, let's go inside the palace. I was so speechless with its beauty. However, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the palace..but, i used my usual technique again..hubby as my shield to cover my 'snap snap' work.

Next stop..the Belvedere Palace, Hofburg Palace and Statue of Empress Maria Theresa.

Mm..i noticed one thing. The building pattern in Vienna was..a little bit..BORING..yet still capturing your interest of its DULL element.

Now..to our next stop..the city centre itself.
And everybody..let me present to you..Carysse and me. Well, i started to know Carysse during this tour and it has been 2 years since the first time we talked..hehe. And i will always remember her wedding date a.k.a wedding anniversary because it was held on the same day of my 'Bersanding' day.

Here, the tour guide showed us the St. Stephen's Cathedral. Perghh, it was really huge.

Then, we walked around the city which i liked it very much. Even though, i said it before..about the BORING part but still, the city has a breathtaking view for you to capture inside your heart.

After that, we thought that was it..but the tour guide gave us an option whether to stay here in the city or to proceed with the option itinerary..a visit to the famous factory outlet in Vienna. Hubby and me choose to go for the latter option..just to have a look at the outlet.

At the factory outlet, we didn't buy much. Later, we found Nordsee again..yeay (..apa lagi..soru la).

The next day, after we had our breakfast..it was time to say good bye to Vienna and headed ourselves to the airport.

At the airport, i managed to get a worth-it Salvatore Ferragamo purse. This was really what i called a joy of last-minute-shopping moment..hehe.

That is the final chapter of my passport-to-europe story to Austria. It was really an amazing experience.

Salzburg

29 January 2009
Salzburg..i was looking forward to be in this 'Sound of Music' city. But first..strike-the-pose picture in front of the hotel with my new winter coat..before we started the journey..:)

Along the way..i got a picturesque glimpse of the beautiful Danube River.

Later, we stopped at one of the RnR and i was really falling in love with the snowy surrounding.

Then, half an hour later..i was speechless again. It was really amazing to see the vision of black and white in front of my own eyes. Subhanallah.

After that, a stop at the Mirabell Palace. People said that..this place was much more beautiful during spring or summer time. But, i wasn't complaining because..to me..in winter..this place was still a beauty (..but..sejuk kaw kaw wehhh). Uhh..and remember that 'Do-Re-Mi' song from Sound of Music..it was recorded here (..excited).

Next, we crossed the bridge..and over here..i managed to capture a nice view of Festung Hohensalzburg Castle..from afar.

After a 15-minutes walk, we reached the Salzburg Cathedral. I thought..i saw this somewhere in the movie..but couldn't remember which part.

At last..a close sight of the Festung Hohensalzburg Castle and i got the 1st time experience to play with the snow.

After that, we went to the Getreidegasse..what a charming shopping district and we also went to Mozart's house, which was located at this same street. Inside the house, i managed to take some pictures..all the original belongings of Mr. Mozart himself.

Next..my favourite part..MAKAN time. Uhh, i'm excited to tell you guys that if any of you manage to come to Austria..please go to its famous seafood restaurant called 'Nordsee'..it was the best (plus..unik bebeno packaging mineral water nyer..tak puas minum wehhh).

After that..we had been given some quality time to shop. The Getreidegasse was really amazing (..carysse..sorry ye..i grab Getreidegasse view from ur blog coz i just realised that i didn't take any pictures of this beautiful street..tq in advance..:). So..dear readers..this was the beautiful Getreidegasse street. It was astounding..don't you think.

(..uhh..and i shivered like crazy..sejuk banget dong. Kelakar je..pantang nampak kedai souvenir..mula la ajak encik suami masuk coz nak memanaskan badan ngan heater yg ada kat dlm kedai tu..).

Lastly, I got a nice final glimpse of the city before we went off to the hotel.

30 January 2009
We continued with the Sound of Music tour. It was an optional tour and we have to pay another extra 30 euro for this trip, which i was willingly to pay (..mesti la kan..once in a lifetime experience).

First, the tour guide told us something about this castle which i totally forgot what was it all about.

Next..we were at the Hellbrunn Castle. The tour guide told us that we would have the opportunity to take some pictures of the original gazebo used in the film "Sound of Music" (..aihhh..excited ni).

So..i made a fast-walk and then when i looked at the gazebo..out of no where..i sang the song 'i am 16 going on 17....' (sambil melompat-lompat lak tu..jakun betul).

Then, we took some pictures at the Sound of Music park. It was really beautiful (..n mula la nak buat posse ala ala winter sonata giteww).

Before we got into the bus..i have to take this picture..because the scenery was really really amazing (..kat tgh tgh jalan tu..sib baik takd keta lalu).

After that, we went to the Leopoldskron Palace. Here, i experienced another new thing..i stepped myself in the frozen lake..haha.

The tour guide reminded us not to go too far and please be careful because it could be quite dangerous(..mmm mana boleh..nak jalan jauh skit gak). Mm..in the end, by looking at this picture..i thought i was a little bit too far. You can see how far that me & hubby managed to walk at this frozen lake from a friend's picture (again carysse..jgn mara ye..i took this pic from your blog..).

..and look at my jakun-moment..(..ni dh consider..jakun ter'over' ni..sampai nak baring-baring bagai)..:-)

Then, we were in the bus again..on our way to the next stop and I managed to capture this beautiful lake picture.

Later, we were at the Village of Wolfgang. It was cute to see so many different colours in different buildings.

Next, the tour guide brought us to the Mondsee Cathedral where the wedding between Maria and Mr.Von Trapp was held.

That was my Salzburg story..i couldn't believe that i've been here at this beautiful city. I know that some of you might prefer to go to this city during spring time but it will be no harm to experience it in winter. I did mine and i'm satisfied.

Kelantan - A 2016 Wedding

22 January 2016 After Kuala Terengganu, we continued our journey to Kelantan. It has been such a long time since the last time I visited...
