Swiss Day 7 : Zurich

21 August 2015

Zurich was our last stop for this Switzerland trip.

But before that, we did some cuckoo clock shopping first in Luzern.

Then, my parents and my brothers stopped by for a few minutes at some of the beautiful spots before heading to the Luzern train station

It was hot today.

As for myself and Eejal, it was our turn to explore the Chapel Bridge for a while.

Later, we continued to the station. It was just a 45-minutes train ride from Luzern to Zurich.

The city of Zurich lies in the heart of Europe and at the centre of Switzerland, on the northern shores of Lake Zurich. Its multicultural flair and the variety of leisure activities on offer attract guests from all over the world to this “region of short routes”.

Finally, once we reached Zurich, we tasted 'at last', the true and pure definition of the summer weather in Europe. It was really really really HOT in Zurich.

We continued to walk at the Bahnhofstrasse. It is well known around the globe as one of the most exclusive and expensive shopping streets in the world.

It was really difficult to walk in Zurich due to its hot weather and we decided to go back home in Luzern. It was just a touch-n-go visit here for us but that would do us good or else the kids going to get sick.

In just less than two hours, we were already in our off-we-go mode back to Luzern.

Once we reached Luzern, we thought of taking the main family picture first before heading back to the apartment. However, it was so so so hot in Luzern too so we proceeded to the apartment and thought of coming back later in the old city for a family picture.

At about 7pm, we went out again as the weather was better than before.

By the way, I wanted to tell you guys about a store named Coop which has been our favorite place to shop for groceries during our stay in Luzern. It helped us a lot as we managed to cook our own packed-food easily.

Oh yes, it was 8pm already and yet, we still have not found the best spot for the family picture.

At last, we managed to take the picture in the middle of Kron-Reuss Bridge.

Wow, tonight (tak kesah la walapun masih siang even though dh nak pukul 9malam) was our last night here in Luzern. We really loved this beautiful city and it speaks for itself when people said that Luzern is one of the prettiest city in the world. It was indeed a serene destination.

Look at my mom, from the beginning of the trip until the end of it, she was so loyal with her portable chair. It really helped her a lot.

Well, that was it, our Swiss Trip story. The next day, we checked out at 10am and went straight to the airport for our 3.20pm flight to Paris and later, after a 3-hours transit, we're going back to Kuala Lumpur.

Thanks to Abah, Mak, Ayah, Mak, Fizal and Epi, for helping us at all times.
Terima kasih sangat sangat buat semua kerana sentiasa membantu dan memudahkan Wani dan Eejal dalam pelbagai perkara sepanjang percutian ini. Mohon maaf di atas segala salah dan silap sepanjang berada di sini. Hope semua orang happy dengan all the arrangements yang dibuat.

All in all, thank you Switzerland for the sweet memory.

Swiss Day 6 : Interlaken

20 August 2015

After Lauterbrunnen, we went straight to Interlaken. We thought of taking time to explore the city first but due to time, we opted only to try the lake cruise.

Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland on an alluvial plain, between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

We picked for a Lake Brienz cruise here as it would be easier for us to go straight to the Brienz train station and go back to Luzern. The turquoise Lake Brienz and neighbouring Lake Thun are situated in the spectacular mountain setting of the Bernese Oberland.

And yes, they have a small playing area, something for the kids to fill up their time inside this big boat.

Straddling the glittering Lakes Thun and Brienz and dazzled by the pearly white Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau, the scenery here was mind-blowing. The 1-hour boat ride was truly an impressive experience.

Once we reached Brienz, we went straight to the train station as it was going to be just less than 10 minutes for us to catch up for the next train to Luzern.

Later, we were already on our way back and we were never bored with the beautiful scenery being offered to us.

Emyr really enjoyed it.

But, the same thing couldn't be said for this little guy, I guess. (Kompem la kan..haha)

And, this cute girl also didn't bother to treasure the beautiful view of Interlaken.

 But, what a beauty!! MasyaAllah.

Mmm, still, how amazing and breathtaking the beautiful treasure outside, failed to attract them both...haha.

Later that evening, we were already back in Luzern.
