Kelantan - A 2016 Wedding

After Kuala Terengganu, we continued our journey to Kelantan. It has been such a long time since the last time I visited this place...23 years ago...mak aihhhhh...lama nye!!! So, I was a little bit excited about this trip, even though it was just a quick pit stop as we were going to attend hubby's cousin wedding in Kota Bharu.

Pantai Cahaya Bulan resort...next to the beach itself, was a nice and a simple gateway. Thank to Pak Ngah and Mak Ngah for sponsoring our stay here in Kelantan.

And...what made it more exciting for the kids was its small pool area..after that disappointment with Primula.  

That night, it was a dinner treat from Pak Ngah and Mak Ngah..Thank you again.

It was the Nikah day at Al-Muhammadi Mosque and congratulations to Eejal's cousin, Hassanul and his wife, and welcome to the Marriage World. This is also a beautiful mosque.

After that, we went to the Bride's house. It was my first attending-a-wedding-and-wearing-a-jubah thing. It was a jubah that I bought from Bella Ammara. The verdict, it was not my thing as it would more comfortable for me to wear a baju kurung.

Later that evening, Hayra demanded to go to the pool again.

Here, Affan was awed to see the goat.

Then, we continued to explore the famous Pantai Cahaya Bulan.

And, the kids were also excited to play the Layang-layang.

That night, another dinner treat from Pak Ngah and Mak Ngah.

It was time to go home but not before a quick shopping activity at the famous Pasar Siti Khadijah. I bought few Batik Kelantan fabrics and other things as well. 

Then, we tried to eat the famous Roti Titab at Kopitiam Kita before heading home to Ampang.

Alhamdulillah..it took only 6 hours plus reaching home via Gua Musang. However, it is true that you have to be really extra cautious by choosing this route.

This road trip...even though it was really far but we enjoyed it very much.

Kuala Terengganu 2016

It has been a while since the last time I went to this state, Terengganu. Only one word...'Beautiful'.

We went only to Kuala Terengganu this time around due to time constraint factor. However, we will definitely come back to this state.

We decided to stay at Primula as it has a near private beach and a pool. However, we were so disappointed when they told us that they are doing some renovation work at the swimming pool area.

So, at about 8.30am, we started the journey to Kuala Terengganu and made a quick stop at one of the RnR.

Once we reached at Primula Hotel, Kuala Terengganu, we settled down first and later, we walked along the beach.

Today, it was time for some Kuala Terengganu exploration. The Crystal Mosque and the Floating Mosque were our pit stops.

First stop - The Crystal Mosque

It is indeed a beautiful mosque but a cute and small one, I can say. Initially, we wanted to go to the Islamic Heritage Park too but it was so hot so we cancelled that particular plan.

Second stop - The Floating Mosque

I just loved the white display of this mosque which portrayed its serene beauty. Just so profound....

After that, it was shopping time at Pasar Payang and it was so crazy to see all those beautiful Batik Sutera....awat merata cantik bebeno...rambang mata wehhhh.

"The mosque is located in Kuala Ibai, just over 4km away from Kuala Terengganu town centre, south of Batu Buruk beach. The mosque is built on a floating platform with a lake surrounding it. This gives the illusion of itself floating on water from afar, hence the nickname. It combines Terengganu’s traditional Malay architecture and Moorish architecture, and is built with marble, ceramics, mosaic works and bomanite paving. That night, we went to this one seafood restaurant, Aqua88.

Next stop...Kelantan. But, before that, we made a revisit at Pasar Payang for another Batik Sutera shopping. Gila kan...huhu!!!
