So, this time around, it was going to be Switzerland for us.
Why did we decided to go to this beautiful country? I didn't know. For me, maybe the Hindi film big influence perhaps...haha. At first, we decided to go in April for another Spring vacay, just like Turkey. But then, Eejal wasn't so sure about his University's schedule so we hold our vacay plan. Suddenly, it was on again and this time it would be a Summer vacay. Urrghhh, I wasn't keen enough actually as I knew summer in Europe would be like 'so so so hot'. But, we continued with the plan.
Another problem for a last-minute-decision thingy was to find a cheap flight ticket. Emirates or Qatar were on our list but it was too expensive at that point of time when we decided to go there. Thanks to Zana J who suggested us to go and check for KLM's price. Wow, it was affordable enough and at last, we bought tickets with KLM and Air France was our only available flight for our trip during that chosen week. We were lucky enough that they have a muslim meal option.

For this trip, me and Eejal thought that we have to do it in our-own-concept basis. Meaning...everything is on us...no tour guide...no tour package...it would be just us.
14 August 2015
On this historic day, the Kota Warisan clan and my in-laws took a taxi from our home. As for my parents and my brothers, they started the journey from Ampang.
Once we reached there, we thought that everything was so far so good. But, the problem started at the Air France counter when the officer in-charge told us that Air France is very strict when it comes to the 23kg baggage rule. Yeay..right. We thought it would be like MAS that we could just combine our baggage weight. No no no. So, we bought another new bag at the airport and same scenario happened to my in-laws. Great!! However, it was not just us but there was another group having the same problem, just like us did.
After a while, the my parents and my brothers were there but Alhamdulillah they didn't face the same problem like us.
Enough said. Let's enjoy the trip story.
Well, I forgot to tell you that Affan was not well...having his diarrhea problem since the beginning of the week. So, you could imagine the beautiful story that I have experienced inside the 13-hours flight before reaching Paris.
Yep...Paris was our 1-hour-and-15-minutes transit. All was well, Alhamdulillah as it was such an easy breezy transit walk to our next flight to Zurich.
From Paris to Zurich, it took us only an hour to reach here. Everybody was so achingly tired at this point of time after that 15-hours traveling time (plus with the transit time).
First task, we need to find the SBB Train Office to buy the Swiss Travel Pass. We have just to walk to the next building from the airport.
We bought the 8-days Second-Class travel pass for everybody which cost us CHF343 each (about RM1,440) while kids below 6 years old travel for free. So, lucky me and Eejal on that part.
While waiting for us, the rest of the group managed to explore a store called Coop and my dad bought such a fresh and delicious bunch of grapes.
After we got the ticket, we went straight to the train station.
And I was jakun already looking at those double-decker train.
Once we were inside the train, I was so relieved and waiting for our stop in Luzern. Such a nice story telling, right. But, no. We didn't realise that we were in the First-class train as it was stated at the outside door just before you enter the train. So you could imagine another chaos happened next as the conductor asked us rudely to go to the Second-Class seat. But then again, when I thought about that scene, I should nicely advice the conductor on how to treat a first-timer tourist who just reached Switzerland (still terbayang-bayang muka arrogant mamat gemuk tu, ko apahal tah, patut kena sound direct jer dengan minah ni tau 'camni ke korang layan pelancong yang baru jer jejak kat negara ko ni. Mana la pelancong yang baru sampai nak tau yg ko tulis nombor 1 ke hapa ke yang kat luar pintu train tu melambangkan kelas train, takpe takpe...ni tempat ko kan...aku sabar je ni).
By the way, when you have the Swiss Travel Pass, you just need to show the pass to the conductor and there is no hassle for you to buy any tickets anymore. And, you can use all public transport in Switzerland at any time (except for some cable car or mountain train ride).

An hour later, we reached Luzern Station at about 12.15pm.
My first feeling was 'Wah, ni dah ada feel feel Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge ni...feel feel Kajol jap...haha'.
Here, another story...to decide whether
to take a taxi or not. The rain drizzled outside and yet, we thought it was okay for us to choose the latter option. So, what an adventure for us to walk about 15 to 20 minutes to the apartment with lots of big bags.
Alhamdulillah, at almost 1pm, we managed to find our apartment An Der Reuss
